0 Quick Apply Full-time 11 hours ago Full Job Description Position Summary This position will be responsible for supervising all material handlers, within their assigned team, and carrying out directives given to them and the team.
The person filling this position must be adaptable to ever-changing business environments and departmental need changes as well as interdepartmental, general business, and customer communication and confidentiality.
This position is a non-exempt hourly position and will report directly to the Receiving Supervisor.
This has the potential of becoming either a first OR second shift position.
Position Goals Maintain turnaround times for product received Maintain a 3 in housekeeping Maintain a 98% accuracy on all product received Primary Duties and Responsibilities ( Essential Functions) These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
Unload product on carriers to the receiving dock staging area in a safe and timely manner.
Verify and compare carton counts delivered to carriers' bill of lading and sign the document to release the driver.
Clearly note on carriers' bill of lading if any cartons are missing, damaged, or poorly packed and provide documentation to support these claims.
Identify products and verify the quantity and quality of items to be received, practicing the 10% method of receiving.
Provide purchase order checks and adhere to a two-person check system.
Ensure completion and accuracy of all receiving documentation processes.
Report missing products, cartons, or damaged items to your Supervisor.
Appropriately handle and process special receipts including warehouse transfers, returned merchandise, and freight claims.
Label materials with part numbers, quantities, and bin locations for storage.
Move materials received to assigned bin locations.
Support accurate and timely processing of inventory cycle counts and bin audits.
Operate and maintain material handling equipment.
Participate in warehouse meetings and other company activities.
Support your Manager in training and developing warehouse staff.
Perform other warehouse tasks when needed assuming a leadership role.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions Contribute to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts Attend training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
All other duties assigned.
Position Requirements High School Diploma; and 2
years of experience in shipping and/or receiving Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and functions.

Standing:
Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time Lifting:
Lifting items up to 70lbs and moving packaged products and/or palletized products during the loading and unloading process.
Visual Acuity:
Able to perform an activity such as:
preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
